  Do the Witnesses really know how to survive the "Great Tribulation"?

  lets say that there is a "great tribulation" in our time, how will the average witness survive it?

  first of all, they don't even know what it is, or when it will happen.

  the great tribulation could be a nuclear war or anything man made.

  shawshank redemption: if you've ever "served time" at bethel, you can't help but connect with this film.

  .... i'll get us started .... growing up jw, i was taught to expect perfection.

  i wish i was less lazy. i am smart and very social... i also have a high IQ (as if that actually means anything)... but i am so lazy and lathargic that i just do nothing with my skills. i think the fear of success doesn't help either

  The Witness Kid Tries to Play Baseball

  i was 11, coming out of the 5th grade, my dad had just been to jail for having sex with a kid who was 14 at the time, he has been having sex with her for two years and everyone in the 1900 person town i grew up in new it.

  i remember always being the last picked for everything.

  i couldnt even throw a baseball or football correctly, it always looked like i was lobbing a grenade, no accuracy, no power, nothing.

  i felt for you in that story... i could see myself making faces in an emotional response in many of the parts of that short story. but it was well written and i feel bad that you have to remember a not-nice feeling

  when i call my dad on the phone, i don't say hi ***... i say hi dad. i do this out of respect. so why should i disrespect my heavenly father as to call him by his name, much less a name that is poor translated and overly anglicized???
